Whate ("we", "us") operates whate.app — a meal recommendation app by Blindspot Lab. Contact: hello@whate.app.
Account data: name, email, and password (hashed) when you sign up. Google Sign-In: name, email, and profile image from Google when you choose that option. Usage data: meals you save or mark as tried, persona preferences, and pantry searches. Bot data: Telegram ID or WhatsApp number and reminder preferences if you use our bots. Technical data: device type, IP address, and cookies required for authentication.
We use your data to provide meal recommendations, personalize results by persona, send welcome and feedback emails (with your consent), operate Telegram/WhatsApp bots, and improve the app. We do not sell your personal data.
We use: Google OAuth (sign-in), Resend (transactional email), OpenRouter (AI meal recommendations — your messages are sent to generate suggestions from our meal database), Supabase (database hosting), and Vercel (hosting). Each provider has its own privacy policy.
We keep your account data while your account is active. You may request deletion by emailing hello@whate.app.
You can access, update, or delete your account data from your profile or by contacting us. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time.
Passwords are hashed. Connections use HTTPS. Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel.
Whate is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
